The new force for Vietnam - Russia comprehensively strategic partners - reviewing of the implementation of Vietnamese - Russia international treaty 2001 – 2018

Abstract: This article analysis the process of nearly 70 years of the cooperation relationship between the (former) Soviet Union - the Russia today and Vietnam, through many historical periods. Besides, the article reviews the implementation of international treaty signed by the two countries from 2001 to 2018 includes: (i) assessing the situation and the results of implementing treaties; (ii) analyzing limitations, obstacles and causes; (iii) proposing recommendations and solutions.

What can be seen from NATO-US relations?

Abstract: The North Atlantic Military Alliance (NATO) celebrated 70 years of existence and development (April 4, 1949/ April 4, 2019). NATO has started with 12 founding members, now 29 countries, and July 2019 will be 30 member states. Earlier this year, US President Donald Trump discussed with senior officials on Washington's exit from NATO, and the reason was that member states did not contribute to the defense budget as committed to 2% of GDP in the context of targeted crisis, internal cracks. However, according to researchers, the US cannot give up their interests in Europe, whether to reform NATO or protect Europe under the new scenario.

Viewpoints and pland of United Kingdom’s enterprises for Brexit

Abstract: Brexit is a topic concerned by many United Kingdom (UK) businesses, particularly its impacts. The paper analyzes differences in views, assessments and preparations of UK enterprises for Brexit, depending on characteristics of firm, such as firm’s size and industry, development orientation, geographical position, etc. However, in general, UK businesses think that planning for Brexit is a difficult task because they are lack of information, and therefore need the support and consultancy from the UK government agencies and localities.

The newly Promulgated foreign Direct Investment (FDI) screening mechanism of EU and some policy implications

Abstract: After over one year of active consultation and negotiation through multiple levels, on 5 March 2019, the European Council formally approved the “Mechanism for Reviewing Foreign Direct Investment into the EU” (FDI screening mechanism). Given the fact that the international investment environment in general and the FDI attraction environment in the EU in particular are facing many complicated changes, the afore-mentioned event has acquired a lot of attentions from policy-makers and public opinions. From a research perspective, this article will provide insights into the background, main contents of the mechanism, thereby drawing some relevant policy implications.

The operation of transport-trade system on the inland and the marine of the Roman Empire in the fist two centuries A.D

Abstract: In the first two centuries A.D., Roman Empire developed its trade economy to new altitudes. That trade-focused economy not only ensured for the movement of goods in the Empire, but also expanded international exchanges, formed the trade flows of the inland and the marine as well as the traded rules. The article presents the transport system, the operation of trade flows following to the social conditions and regulations of Roman Empire. By which we can see that the Roman Empire has built a quite perfect transport-trade system, ensuring the demand of transporting goods, people and many other material and spiritual values.

Behavior of the tops European powers with American civil war (1861 - 1865)

Abstract: From 1861 to 1865, the United States experienced a fierce Civil War to definitely solve the slavery regime. This war was the first modern war on the world and brought serious losses for that country. Although some countries did not directly involved in that war but the top European powers, such as Britain, France, Spain and Russia were related to the American Civil War, even assisted weapons, flagship etc, for both the United States and the Confederate States to protect and sustain their benefits. Researching the behavior of some European powers on the American Civil War helps us clarify the issues of market and colonial conflict in the America and the Atlantic area between Europe and the United States in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century.

International scientific and technological cooperation between the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan and Vietnam: legal basis and some evaluations

Abstract: The Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan are Vietnam’s traditional partners in the CIS region, with a strong background in science and technology. After many historical changes, the international cooperation in the field of science and technology between these three countries and Vietnam is being restored and further promoted. The paper will evaluate the legal basis of the scientific and technological cooperation between the three countries and Vietnam based on surveys and from which propose some recommendations.

The fourth industrial revolution: Opportunities and challnges for French banks and some recommendations for Vietnam.

Abstract: The fourth industrial revolution has brought new opportunities but also challenges for the banking sector in changing the governance and business models as well as the structure of products and services, in preventing network security risks and protecting customer’s private information in the digital age. The paper focuses on analyzing the opportunities and challenges that the fourth industrial revolution posed to French banks, reviewing policies and solutions applied by these banks to adapt, to take advantage of opportunities and limit challenges in the new context, thereby proposing some recommendations for Vietnamese banks.
